A Note on How I Work

My work lives at the intersection of creative and analytical thinking, and I've never been willing to sacrifice one for the other. Most people operate comfortably on one side of that line or the other — as visionaries who generate ideas but lack structure, or operators who execute brilliantly but rarely challenge the underlying strategy. I've spent my career refusing that choice.

I think in stories and work in systems. I'm as comfortable developing a strategic communications framework as I am obsessing over the precise word that makes a positioning statement land. I can hold the big picture and the granular detail simultaneously — and I've found that's exactly where the most important work happens.

I am a strategist first. The frameworks I build are grounded in a deep understanding of how organizations actually function — not just how they want to be perceived. What that produces is work that is both imaginative and durable — built to outlast the engagement, precise enough to actually be used, and creative enough that people actually want to use it.
